Introduction
The Two-Dimensional Design Program exhibition covers project work from students at Lakeland University, Japan taking the program during summer 2021. During the program, incorporating the art elements, students investigated many areas of design using various mediums which could emphasize their creativity and craftsmanship.
The program offered a variety of project assignments, which included contour line, negative line, and expressive line drawings, creating continuity in character designs, poster and book cover designs. Whilst art-making, students could also consider employing design principles of pictorial organization such as harmony, balance, movement and how space can affect the unity of a design.
We hope you enjoy this exhibition and that project work encapsulates the elements and principles of design.
